Reports Released. Cisco Systems and Metiri Group recently released a new report, Multimodal Learning: What the Research Says. It cites a neuro and cognitive science research basis for specific uses of multimodal learning as well as insights into when interactivity and teaming strengthens such learning, and when it's advantageous for students to work individually. This is the second report in a series of research-based reports by Cisco and Metiri. The first was, Technology in Schools: What Does the Research Say? It is intended to assist educators to make informed technology investments, cautioning them to pay attention to conditions essential to effective technology use and to the fidelity of the implementation. Research Report Released. Metiri releases study showing link between informed instructional decision-making and student gains in mathematics and language arts scores.
