Assess Summatively

for Effective Classroom Technology Use

Summative Assessment captures progress to date based on established indicators of success. The intent of summative assessments is to establish the impact of a program over time. Such data for a technology program should include data at the student, teacher, administrator, school, and district levels across a range of indicators.

The most effective final reports to policy leaders, are based on summative assessments, but are accompanied by anecdotes and documentaries that bring the story behind the data to life.
