1. Encourage your
students to 'go to the source,' checking out primary source data whenever
possible.
2. Teach students
to question, question, question. Assess your students by the questions
they ask...as well as the questions they answer.
3. Guide students
to think 'finesse' a topic to guide carefully structured searches.
4. Require that
students use correct protocols for citing sources.
5. Promote information
access as a highly structured process using ALA, Big6, or other execellent
processes.
